This trek takes you to the highest Shiva temple in the world (Tungnath) and further up to the Chandrashila summit. The 360-degree view of the Himalayas from the top, including Chaukhamba and Kedar peaks, is unmatched.
Itinerary
Day1
Dehradun to Sari Village
A beautiful drive to Sari. Short walk to check out the local culture.
Day2
Sari to Deoriatal
A short but steep trek to the lake. The reflection of Chaukhamba in the lake is magical.
Day3
Deoriatal to Chopta
Trek through the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. Reach Chopta base camp.
Day4
Chopta to Chandrashila and back
Summit day. Visit Tungnath temple and watch the sunrise from Chandrashila.
